We are pleased to inform you that the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), University of the Philippines Open University Foundation, Inc. (UPOUFI) and Association of Nursing Service Administrators of the Philippines, Inc. (ANSAP) entered into an agreement to jointly undertake the offering of the continuing education (non-formal) online courses on “Financial Management in Nursing Practice” (FMNP) and “Research Utilization in Nursing Administration” (RUNA).
In view of this, we would like to invite you and your staff members to register in the upcoming offering. Both courses have been offered twice and will be offered again on 16 July-08 October 2016 (12 weeks) with its last day of registration on 09 July 2016.
FMNP is intended for nurse managers, head nurses, chief nurses, supervisors, charge nurses and to all nurses who are interested to have a better understanding of the “language of finance” for a more dynamic participation in decision-making processes in their respective health care organizations. This course explores the basic concepts on financial analysis and reporting, resource allocation and performance management nurse managers need in the daily operations of their units or workplaces. It includes topics on budgeting, revenues and costs, staffing, and performance monitoring/evaluation tools.
RUNA, on the other hand, is intended for nurse managers, head nurses, chief nurses, supervisors, charge nurses, and to all nurses who are interested to learn how to utilize research in nursing administration which aims to conceptualize the research process, to conduct an extensive literature review and develop a research proposal feasible for future implementation.
